The composition all our Fresubin® products is specifically designed to meet the needs of patients with or who are at risk of malnutrition and are used in a wide variety of healthcare settings. Fresubin® roducts deliver all essential building blocks for health like protein, vitamins, minerals and trace elements and are mostly suitable for complete nutrition.
Please always follow your doctor’s advice. The duration of the usage of Fresubin® depends on your individual situation and the effect you want to achieve.
Our recommendation:
… to sustain and boost health status: 1 bottle of our essentials per day over a period of 3 months as they deliver the minimum effective dose of 400 kcal and 20 g protein.
… as nutritional support for cancer patients: 2 bottles Supportan® per day. This is the optimal solution, also providing omega 3 fatty acids. Alternatively all high protein, high energy Fresubin® versions support you as well to avoid taste fatigue.
… however to manage diet against malnutrition: increase the caloric and protein intake per day as needed. Here you can find out how easy it is to use Fresubin®. You’ll find different examples.
No, you can combine Fresubin® products with your regular food or even enrich your meal with Fresubin®. We have developed and tried out different recipes using Fresubin® for you. So you can vary your daily extra portion of energy and nutrients to make it attractive and delicious.

All Fresubin® sip feeds are gluten-free.
- Vegetarian can be divided into complete vegetarian, milk vegetarian and milk/egg vegetarian
- Milk and milk/egg vegetarian can take Hepa, 2kcal, Jucy drink and Protein powder because their protein is taken from milk
- However, EPA and DHA is extracted from fish oil. During the process, the fish is sacrificed. Hence, Supportan® is not suitable for vegetarian
- Daily drink 2 packs or bottles of Supportan®, provides 2g EPA to reduce the side effects of cancer treatments1, to increase the number of T lymphocyte, to improve the immunity for cancer patients2 and nutritional status2, to enhance the survival rate2.
- High protein maintains immunity and helps White Blood Cell production, repairs body tissues, compensates the protein loss and muscle loss1.

- If you want to serve it warm, you can use room temperature water to mix it well before adding hot water. Please do not use hot water to mix with the powder directly.
